Training and extension Division is principally responsible for sufficiently preparing and disseminating technical knowledge on tea cultivation aspects to the farmers and stakeholders and thereby contributing towards the adoption of sophisticated technologies and good agricultural practices at the field level or industrial processing.

Analytical services

Analysis of soils, leaf and fertilizer samples to promote fertilizer recommendation in order to ensure quality standards.

Analytical services for the diagnosis of pests and nematode infestations are also rendered through laboratories at main center for stakeholders/smallholders.

Laboratory analyses to determine the quality and specific constituents in made tea, and leaf samples.

Education and capacity development.

Collaborate with universities to implement joint projects.

Collaboration in the implementation of student dissertations.

Teaching undergraduate to doctoral students.
